18th February 2020 - Green Park Challenge T-shirt Design Competition Winner
This year, for the first time, we invited our junior runners to enter into a competition to design our Green Park Challenge T-shirt, and as we expected, there is a lot of talent out there. The response was incredible and we simply loved the imagination and passion showed by all who entered.
It was a tough decision but we are delighted to announce that our winner is eight-year-old Halle Baker from The Pines Primary School, Bracknell and here she is, modelling her winning design!
We asked Halle where the inspiration for her design came from: "I wanted to show all different people celebrating, and having a fun time. When you achieve something it is good to encourage others too".
Judith Manson, Race Director commented: "We were so excited to launch our first ever t-shirt competition, to give local school children the chance to show off their artistic skills and design their very own race t-shirt. We’ve had entries from all over Berkshire and we’d like to thank, and congratulate, everyone for their efforts and fantastic artistic creations."
"Halle was up against some strong budding artists but it was clear from the shortlist process and final judging that Halle’s design made everyone smile and just had to be on this year’s green race t-shirts. She has included such a lovely family message on her artwork, one of smiles, energy and positivity. We look forward to the sun shining on race day, just like her t-shirt design."
